Established in 1969, IOI Corporation is engaged in the cultivation and processing of oil palm, but has also ventured into downstream palm oil based manufacturing activities such as refining, palm kernel extraction, oleo chemicals and specialty fats and oils. The company is also involved in rubber production, and through its subsidiaries operates in property development and investment, provides building, engineering and construction services and manufactures industrial and medical gases among other activities. IOI Corporation's oil palm plantation estates are located in Malaysia and Indonesia.
